he
Zugspitzarena, where Lermoos is situated, is to have an additional tourist
attraction from summer 2005. A golf course is under contruction in the
lovely valley between Lermoos and Ehrwald just a few minutes' by car
from Ansitz Felsenheim, at the foot of the Wetterstein mountain block
and Germany's highest moutain, the Zugspitze.. To start with it will
be a nine-hole course, but it will eventually have eighteen holes.
The
fairways are laid out on natural meadows, and the course conforms to
all of the latest international standards that a future championship
course must offer. Because of its variety of features, the course promises
to be challenging, but fair. Demanding par-3 holes might alternate with
more straightforward par-4 ones. The par-5 holes, particularly the ninth,
will present players with a distance challenge. This variety sets our
new golf course apart from many others in the Alps.
